About the Event:
The floor is set, the lights are loud, and this is where you prove you belong. Bring sharp moves, full control, and the confidence to go head-to-head with the best. Two intense rounds, with no room to fake it; only those who adapt and deliver make it through. Step in, level up, and earn your win on the dance floor!
Event Details:
Round 1: Cypher Solo
- Each participant has 60-90 seconds to perform.
- Participants must freestyle to the music provided on the spot; pre-choreographed routines are not allowed.
Round 2: The Final Showdown
- Participants face off in a dance battle.
- Battles can be one-on-one or three-way face-offs, depending on the number of finalists.
- Songs are played randomly, requiring participants to adapt and showcase their skills on the spot.
- The first dancer performs until the buzzer sounds, after which the second dancer must immediately take over and continue dancing to the same track. Each turn lasts 30 seconds.
- After each battle, the judges decide the winner based on performance. The losing participant will be eliminated, and the winner will advance further.
- The number of battles will be 2, but 1 more battle will be conducted if asked by the judges.
Rules and Regulations:
- Individual participation.
- Participants must present a physical college ID card and PID to participate in the event.
- Use of props is not allowed.
- Participants must adhere to the time limits strictly.
- Participants must respect the Cypher setup, refrain from obstructing or interrupting others, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards competitors, judges, and organisers. Any unsportsmanlike behaviour will result in disqualification.
- The number of participants that will be shortlisted for the second round depends on the total number of entries.
- The decisions of the judges and the organisers are final and binding.
Judging Criteria:
Round 1:
- Expression, creativity, musicality, stage presence, and overall performance will be considered.
Round 2:
- Entertainment factor, creativity, spontaneity, and crowd engagement will be considered.
