About the Event:
Bits with Benefits is a retro gaming-based event centred on classic and old-school games. The event features games from obsolete or discontinued systems, along with retro titles played on modern hardware through ports or compilations. It offers participants a nostalgic gaming experience rooted in traditional gameplay.
Event Details:
Round 1: Temple Run with a Twist:
- Temple Run with a Twist:
- This round will not follow the regular Temple Run gameplay.
- Players will face on-the-spot challenges such as alternating control keys.
- Players must avoid all power-ups and keys while attempting to survive for the maximum possible duration.
- Additionally, players must collect the highest number of coins within the given time limit.
- Mortal Kombat:
- The game will be played between two players (1 vs 1).
- The first player to be knocked down will be eliminated.
- Different controls will be assigned to each player on the same keyboard.
Round 2: Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed
- Split-screen (lap-based) will be the secret game.
- Players get to race along with any other players randomly, using the bracket system.
- A trial round will be conducted for players to get adjusted to the controls.
- Cars and Tracks will be allotted the same as the other players, in order to prevent bias with car statistics.
Rules and Regulations:
- Individual participation.
- Participants must present a physical college ID card and PID to participate in the event.
- The organisers will introduce random twists and challenges during the games.
- Participants should not engage in any behaviour that is unsafe or violates any college policies or regulations.
- Participants must respect each other and the event organisers.
- The decisions of the organisers are final and binding.
Judging Criteria:
- Score achieved.
- Coins gathered.
- Level progression.
- Completion time.
- Overall performance and rule compliance.
