About the Event:
An incredible opportunity beckons the phenomenal college music teams of India, inviting them to partake in the prestigious Battle of Bands, where they have the chance to claim victory in the ultimate showdown.
Event Details:
Round 1: Online Screening Round
- A Google form will be shared with the team head upon contacting any one of the organisers. The form, with team details and a video of the team’s previous performance, must be submitted by 22 February 2026.
- The video must be between 2 to 15 minutes long. Live performance videos are preferred (edited videos are not allowed).
- Submission must include a minimum of one eastern and one western composition.
- Top 6 teams will be shortlisted for the competition based on their Google form submissions.
Round 2: Final Round
- The teams selected from the Screening Round will perform on stage for Battle of Bands ‘26.
- Performance must include a minimum of one eastern and one western composition.
- Each team will be allotted 5 minutes for sound-check and 15 minutes for the performance. Exceeding the 20-minute time limit will result in negative points.
Rules and Regulations:
- A team can consist of a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 12 members on stage, including at least 3 instrumentalists.
- All the team members must be from the same college.
- Participants must present a physical college ID card and PID to participate in the event.
- All participants must be present at the venue at least one hour before the commencement of the event.
- Performance order will be decided 30 minutes before the event.
- Participants must bring their instruments; only a drum kit will be provided. Backing tracks and synthesized beats are not allowed.
- Vulgarity and profanity in any form, will result in disqualification.
- Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any team at their discretion without prior notice.
- The decisions of the judges and organisers are final and binding.
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity.
- Musical Quality.
- Technical merit.
- Team synchronization.
- Stage presence.
- Bonus marks will be awarded for original composition, musical complexity, and theme integration.
